Soothing Bedtime drink: Warm Coconut, Nutmeg and Sweet Turmeric.

I'm one of those people who seriously suffer with not being able to sleep at night (yup legit insomniac over here!) But i've created a drink that helps me calm down, is soothing and does wonders for your body! These ingredients are known to help aid a good nights sleep and digestion, as well as boosting your immune system!

Benefits:

- Natural relaxent

- Reduce inflammation

- Improve digestion

- promote sleep

- Balance blood sugar

(You can double the ingredients to share the love)

Ingredients:

1 cup coconut milk (or other plant milk will be fine!)

1/2 tsp turmeric

1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

pinch of black pepper (sounds odd but trust me here - it helps absorb the turmeric!)

1-2 tsp agave

1/2 tsp of ginger or slice of ginger root

1/2 tsp coconut oil (can be omitted)

(Add 1/2 tsp cinnamon for a morning pick me up! Cinnamon is actually a natural stimulant whilst still being very soothing)

Method:

Place milk on hob and bring to a light simmer.

Add all ingredients apart from agave and whisk gently.

Turn off hob.

Stir in agave.

Make sure it isnt too hot and serve!
